Terms and Conditions
These terms apply to all voucher purchases, bookings and studio experiences provided by Star For A Day.
By purchasing a voucher, booking a session or attending the studio, you agree to these terms.
1. About Star For A Day
Star For A Day provides recording studio experience sessions for entertainment and educational purposes.
Sessions take place at our studio unless agreed otherwise.

2. Vouchers and Experience Packages
Vouchers and experience packages can be purchased online or in person.
Vouchers can be used towards Star For A Day recording experiences.
Vouchers are valid for 18 months from the purchase date unless stated otherwise at the time of purchase.
Vouchers are transferable to another person but cannot be exchanged for cash.
Expired vouchers will normally not be accepted or refunded.
3. Refunds and Cooling Off Rights
Online Purchases
If you purchase a voucher or experience online and do not book a session date or time, you have a legal right to cancel your purchase within 14 days starting the day after purchase.
To cancel within this period, you must contact us in writing by email.
If cancelled within the 14 day period and the voucher has not been used or booked, a full refund will be issued within 14 days of confirmation.
Booking a Session Date
If you book a specific session date or time, your 14-day cancellation right still applies during the first 14 days after purchase.
After the 14-day period has passed, vouchers and bookings become non-refundable and are subject to our rescheduling policy.
Once a recording session has started, cancellation and refund rights no longer apply.
4. After the Cooling Off Period
After 14 days from purchase:
Vouchers and experience bookings are non-refundable.
Vouchers remain transferable to another person.
We may offer rescheduling or studio credit at our discretion and subject to availability.
5. Booking and Rescheduling
All bookings are subject to studio availability.
If you need to reschedule a confirmed session, please contact us as soon as possible.
Reschedule Notice Periods
More than 14 days notice
Sessions can normally be rescheduled without charge.
Between 7 and 14 days notice
Rescheduling may be subject to an administration charge.
Less than 7 days notice
Rescheduling may result in loss of the session or require an additional booking fee.
Failure to attend without notice will normally result in loss of the booking.
We understand that genuine emergencies can occur, and we will always try to act reasonably.
6. Late Arrival
Participants must arrive at their scheduled session time.
If participants arrive late, session time may be reduced.
If the arrival is more than 30 minutes late, the session may be cancelled and treated as a non-attendance.
7. Children and Supervision
Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult unless agreed otherwise in advance.
Parents or guardians remain responsible for supervising children attending sessions and ensuring they follow studio safety guidance.
8. Behaviour and Safety
Participants must follow all reasonable instructions given by Star For A Day staff.
We reserve the right to stop or end a session if behaviour is unsafe, abusive or disruptive.
No refund will be issued if a session is ended due to behaviour or safety concerns.
9. Studio Equipment and Personal Property
Participants must treat all studio equipment and studio property with care.
Star For A Day accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to personal belongings brought into the studio unless caused by our negligence.
If studio equipment or property is deliberately or recklessly damaged, we reserve the right to recover reasonable repair or replacement costs.
10. Health and Well-being
Recording sessions may involve loud sound levels and technical equipment.
Participants should inform us in advance of any medical conditions, hearing sensitivity or additional needs.
Participants attend sessions at their own risk except where liability cannot legally be excluded.
11. Photography, Video and Recordings
During sessions, we may take photographs or video recordings for promotional purposes.
If you do not wish to appear in promotional material, you must inform us before your session.
Recordings created during sessions are provided for personal use unless agreed otherwise in writing.
Commercial use of recordings may require additional licensing or written permission.
12. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or any liability which cannot be excluded under UK law.
Subject to this, Star For A Day will not be liable for:
Loss of enjoyment
Loss of personal items
Indirect or consequential loss
Our total liability relating to any booking will not exceed the value of the voucher or session purchased.
13. Changes to Sessions
We reserve the right to make reasonable changes to session content, equipment or staffing if required due to technical or operational reasons.
If we need to cancel a session due to circumstances outside our control, we will offer rescheduling or studio credit.
14. Events Outside Our Control
We are not responsible for delays or cancellations caused by events outside our reasonable control, including severe weather, illness, power failure or building access issues.
15. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Scotland.
Any disputes will be subject to the Scottish courts.
